Children's Circus Days 2009

Two fundraising circus days were held recently - one in New South Wales and the other in South Australia.

DRUG ARM and the Leukaemia Foundation have had a successful partnership over the last few years and jointly hosted another wonderful Children's Circus Spectacular from 10-12 October 2009. Moore Park in Sydney came alive with a monstrous circus tent and a brilliant array of circus entertainment. Thousands of children and their parents and carers enjoyed one of eight performances over the weekend which included high-rope trapeze, dare-devil juggling and balance, hula-hoop challenges, break dancing, trapeze acts and more.

SCOSA and DRUG ARM's Underprivileged Children's Circus hosted five performances over the weekend of Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2009. Held at Bonython Park, Adelaide, children and their carers were entertained by circus clowns, acrobats, ventriloquists and magicians. 2,500 plus people attended these shows, with every session filled to the brim.

A special thank you to all the wonderful sponsors and in-kind supporters that made this event possible. From all the children who attended we say THANK YOU.

Liverpool West Children's Circus

Over 10,000 kids attended the free 6th Annual Children’s Circus Extravaganza on April 5, 6, 7 and 8 2009, thanks to a special partnership between the Rotary Club of Liverpool West and DRUG ARM Australasia, and the generous donations of the local corporate community. Lots of local families with special needs children, senior citizens and other members of the community attended one of the 10 showings. The event was a huge success, bringing lots of smiles to the faces of the children and in many cases giving the whole family a lovely day out.
