The Speakers Program

Speakers for any occasion

What does the program do?

Speakers are able to visit your local community group, school or workplace to present on a variety of topics. These can include drug awareness and education, DRUG ARM's programs, sponsorship opportunities, Christianity’s role and other topics you can request. Our speakers tailor their presentations to suit the audience, whether they are professionals, school students, church congregations or service clubs.

What services do we offer?

Speakers can deliver a session on a topic to suit your gathering, or present an interactive workshop to develop skills and knowledge in a specific area. Subjects can cover:
  • Drug awareness and education
  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Christian principles in relation to drug and alcohol use
  • Drug and alcohol misuse – risks and consequences
  • Developing a safe workplace

Some of our "popular topics" include:
  • What it is like to be a parent of a child who is using? How do you handle the situation, the impact, their feelings? What are some helpful strategies? We can share background stories, success stories…drug use can happen to anyone and any family.
  • Drugs and the Legal System – what people have to do when they interact with the legal system, what they can't do as a result, how their life has changed...
  • What does DRUG ARM do to help? Information about our programs, where they operate, who they assist, how people can be involved...
  • How do we deal with drug and alcohol issues in the workplace? What should our company do? How can we tell if it's happening? Why is it important? Where can employees get help?
  • What are some of the myths about drugs and what are the truths we should know?
