Leave a BequestA gift in your Will for DRUG ARM’s workYou can help to reduce the harm of alcohol and other drugs by leaving a bequest in your Will to DRUG ARM. There are several ways you can leave a lasting gift in your will - you can leave a percentage of your estate, a specific bequest, such as a sum of money, a gift of jewellery art, shares or property, or you can leave the residue of an estate or the whole estate. It is advisable to seek professional advice and assistance when making a will. You may prefer to leave money or assets in your will by establishing your own named fund. The Queensland Community Foundation is a public charitable trust, established and managed by the Public Trustee of Queensland. DRUG ARM Australasia has an established Fund set up within the Queensland Community Foundation; you may establish your named Trust within the DRUG ARM Foundation. You can leave money or assets in your will by nominating DRUG ARM as your preferred charity. Making your wish come true There are a number of ways of making a bequest to DRUG ARM. The correct wording in your will is most important. It must state precisely what you want to happen, putting your wish into words. Here are some examples of wording: A specific sum "I bequeath (free of all duties) the sum of $.... to DRUG ARM Australasia with the written acknowledgement of the treasurer or other proper officer of DRUG ARM Australasia to be accepted by the executors as a full and complete discharge." Percentage "I bequeath (free of all duties) .....% of my estate to DRUG ARM Australasia with the written acknowledgement of the treasurer or other proper officer of DRUG ARM Australasia to be accepted by the executors as full and complete discharge." The residue "I bequeath (free of all duties) the residue of my estate to DRUG ARM Australasia with the written acknowledgement of the treasurer or proper officer of DRUG ARM Australasia to be accepted by the executors as full and complete discharge." We recommend that you seek professional advice when preparing your will.
