The Remote Schools Attendance Strategy team based in Boggabilla are preparing to run a series of cultural camps for young males, young females, elders and young fathers and mothers to mentor participants and strengthen community wellbeing.

Activities will focus on caring for the land, language, bush tucker, aboriginal arts and music.

These camps use connection to cultural as part of an overall strategy to build self-esteem and strengthen the overall community. The long term outcome of this program is to prevent the uptake and reduce the harms of anti-social alcohol or drug use and mental health issues.
