Opera in the Gardens
This May, experience the thrill of the opera while taking in the tranquil setting of Mt Coot-tha’s Botanic Gardens where the alfresco benefit concert, Opera in the Gardens, will be staged. Starring a range of talented artists, including Rosario La Spina, the concert promises to be a celebration of family as the program features music from a variety of operas in which family relationships are portrayed. Think Madama Butterfly, Carmen and the Marriage of Figaro! Don’t miss this exceptional afternoon. Book a gourmet hamper, sit back and enjoy an exceptional afternoon of fine vocal talent.
The 2023 opera event raises money for Rotary Clubs of Brookfield, Karana Bellbowrie and Toowong, as well as Drug ARM.
BrisSizzle and Sounds
Please mark Saturday, 13 May 2023 from 11am-3pm in your diaries for a day out at Victoria Park / Barrambin, offering fantastic food trucks, kid’s activities, live music including a “Bluey” Live Interactive Experience, as well as incredible raffle prizes to be won on the day. Traditionally, over 2,000 people participate in this FREE event each year, with proceeds and donations to go towards charity beneficiaries Foodbank Queensland, Drug ARM and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.
